Greyhound Racing First Iowa Greyhound Park adoption reunion

I really enjoyed myself last evening at the Iowa Greyhound Park first annual greyhound adoption reunion. What a great turn out.

So many folks I had met on Facebook but never or only a few times in person. From the time I got there tell I left had had friends making sure I was well taken care of. Brian Carpenter parking my pick up and making sure my motor operated chair was unloaded and loaded. I can not say enough about the job Cory Morris and Brian Carpenter along with TC Christianson did and how about all the venders. I hope they all did enough business to come back again. How hard the crew of volunteers worked helped setting up things and "The Wards" clear from Canada along with the folks that came with them traveled so far to make this event a success. David Vierick for recording so much on camera.

The pet dogs I saw in the fun run.

Visiting with Shelley Ann Lake and LaRi Liberty making the trip from the Kansas City area. People from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ill. Sure I am missing many because I wasn't counting but there had to be 300 or more people there and thank you to the folks that donated items that were raffled off and the people that bought the tickets.

While I didn't win anything I had a good time trying and what I spent went to a great cause.

I am so happy I went and saw so many friends and sorry I missed a few I thought were coming.

Loved it my friend Anne G Myles pet greyhound was the fastest dog in the radar run.

Melissa Skrivseth Schmidt did an awesome job talking about life on a Iowa Greyhound farm.

So many I am leaving out but I have already wrote a book.

But I have to mention Dawn Templeton and Penny Wick as they are two of my favorite people in the whole world even tho I do pick on both of them way more than I should.

Also the high light of my trip was getting to kiss and congratulate the Ex Kathleen Collins that is now Mrs Brett Entas.
